Vastex was founded in 1960 by Michael and Fannie Vasilantone. Prominent among the company's many patented innovations were the first small-product electric infrared oven, an oven air recirculation system, and a patented belt alignment/tracking device.
The reputation of Vastex engineering and equipment performance spread quickly, propelling the company to an international leadership position with equipment now operating in over 50 countries.
Their son, Mark Vasilantone, assumed ownership of the company in 1999. Himself an accomplished engineer, Mark has continued revolutionizing the design and performance of Vastex equipment, more than tripling sales in his first 10 years.
The company built its first factory in Branchburg, NJ in 1973, moved to a larger leased facility in Hazelton, PA in 1988 and then to another in Allentown, PA in 1994, and in 2017 built its manufacturingfacility and world headquarters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Built with a break-out wall, the building is situated on a double-size lot of 8.25 acres, facilitating another expansion when the company again reaches capacity.
Despite many changes over many years, what has not changed is the company's commitment to thoroughly satisfying each valued customer, not only with high performance machinery, but also with personal, dedicated service.
